Galitzen Forest
I drove through Galitzen State Forest today while on a business trip.
Spotted several hunters along Route 56.
How is it for hunting?

Re: Galitzen Forest
if you were on 56 and passing thru the gallitzin you went thru ogletown and windber. i grew up in ogletown, and got lost in the gallitzin as a kid a time or two. lots of deer there, and quite a few bear. the Babcock reserve may still have an albino herd in captivity at the head of clear shade creek. naglicks bar may still be open. the blue moon went under in the 80's. it was my grandmother's place, and we used to throw apples from the orchard behind it with ash sticks at the deer across the road behind howard grant's place.
