Lets talk about Old Shotguns and Black Powder Shells!

So, everyone saw the new (to me) Rival Shotgun I picked up for $69 bucks. I am still trying to decide if I should shoot it or not. I'd like to hear some thoughts on where to get black powder 12 gauge shells, sub gauge inserts and info on damascus barrels. I'd really like to shot this thing a few times...but I am kinda fond of all my digits (and facial features...LOL)

There are a number a very detailed articles about using Damascus barreled SGs in a series entitled "Finding out for Myself" by Sherman Bell. They appeared in "The Double Gun Journal". I am away from home now and cannot look up the issues (be home again in a couple of weeks).

Have seen that video before. My feeling is that if you have all those components, it is easier to reload the hulls and put a few in your pocket, instead of cutting the base off the hulls and loading the same things down the barrel.
