Default WOW!!! "no, its a 40 cal..."

so... i was amazed. i was talking to a LEO at one of the high schools in the local york area... i saw his Glock 22 with nigh sights and asked him "Is that a Glock 22?"

his reply was "No, its a 40 cal"

i walked away in, feeling very bad for him.

i know that a lot of Police officers are not "gun nuts" but i feel that if you are going to rely on something that could possibly save a life, including your own, you should know EVERY LITTLE THING ABOUT IT!!!

in his defense I can see where the question sounds like you are asking about the caliber...

Besides, at least he knew it was a glock... that should count for something
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

He knew the caliber too. I've met officers who "don't know, I just use the bullets the department gives me."

Army-Navy in Allentown one time, there was a customer talking to the guy behind the counter. I asked to see a Glock 23, and the customer looked at me and said "There is no such caliber!"

Imagine if you asked for a Glock 22 what the look on his face would be when he saw the size of the bullets for it. "That's the biggest .22cal round I've ever seen in my life!"
