Re: Connection between mass murderers
Check out the documentary called "Murder by Proxy". It's on youtube and Netflix and it talks about how a lot of these mass shootings began in the work place specifically the USPS. It talks about how the increased stress from generally hostile working environments have a major impact on people just getting so pissed that they end up shooting up their work place.
I think looking at these guys political party as the major connection need to get your heads out of the cesspool called partisan politics.

Re: Connection between mass murderers
Who said anything about losing or even not arguing the point. I just think it's stupid to say they are wrong because they are a democrat or a liberal. Rational discussion usually doesn't involve cheap insults and if that is all they want to throw around then its best just to leave and come back another day. Flinging poo at each other like monkeys is just going to result in everyone covered in shit.

Re: Connection between mass murderers
When the debate descends to the Left demonizing the GOP, the NRA, all gun owners, all white males, all right-wing talk radio, FOX news, and anybody who doesn't turn off his brain when he's told it's "for the children", then we don't have the option "to leave and come back another day".
Hearts and minds are being won over by the below-the-belt arguments. The suggestion that we should simply not play for a while is EXACTLY what the Left told us to do after the Sandy Hook shooting, when they said, essentially, "you people shut up and let us destroy your rights for a while".
This is not a contract negotiation, where we can leave the table and the debate is suspended until we come back. This is an ongoing battle to gut the 2nd Amendment, and splinter the Right into neutered factions (just detouring the "I don't really like Romney" people off onto Irrelevant Street last November was a smashing success for the Left.)
You don't get to play chess if the other guy is playing mixed martial arts. You fight the fight that you're faced with, or else you lose. Losing with grace is still losing, and the fight we have is for our kids and grandkids, and our side has to keep it's brain turned ON when the children are mentioned.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: Connection between mass murderers
Still don't see how saying all the shooters were "liberals" matter. These shooters weren't exactly making any political statements. I think our side should just stick to rational arguments instead.
Besides all that. I don't even think guns or pointing fingers at the mentally ill are at fault here. I think people have been going postal due to various levels of stress they just could not handle anymore even if the rest of us find it to be ridiculous people would end up snapping over trivial stuff.Last edited by Kabloosh; January 20th, 2013 at 06:21 AM.
