6920 or FS2000?
I'm saving money for a SHTF rifle. I'm plenty familiar with the Stoner platform, but not so much with the FN rifles. Can somebody school me on the two?

6920 IMHO... I think the FN style rifle is somewhat of a fad, not to mention it is one of the ugliest rifles I have ever seen.

Re: 6920 or FS2000?
I'm inclined to recommend pretty much any AR over the FN simply because he's loking for a SHTF rifle. In such a situation the availability and interchangability of parts alone give the AR the upper hand. Plus I am personally not really comfortable with the FN's forward ejection system, it just seems like an invitation for something to get stuck in.
However the FS2000 does get points for being a well designed bullpup that will eat from the AR's magazines which is a big plus, however I just don't think it's enough to overcome the issue of parts availability and compatability in any extended SHTF situation.Warning: I may not read responses to OP before posting

Before considering which mechanism you prefer there is a more basic question to be entertained: Bullpup or standard setup.
Have you ever handled a bullpup rifle? Have you ever done extensive shooting with a bull pup? Could you shoot a bullpup with one hand if necessary?
Note that if you are using iron sights the bullpup will suffer as it will have a much shorter sight radius that what is possible on an AR. Optics do break, usually when SHTF.
That is where I would start, anyway...

My opinions are also based upon shooting one. It really is a very odd feeling rifle when shouldering. The optic situation is also less than desirable IMHO. The sight over bore is also an issue for me. As they say different strokes for different folks... I just was not impressed with it personally and I certainly wouldn't want it as my only go to gun.

Re: 6920 or FS2000?
I'd get the FS2000 only if you already had an AR. It's front-heavy and doesn't have the normal rifle feel to it. I only handled it, but not yet shot it to know how it actually feels. Even with the ability to accept standard AR mags, it's still not an AR and you are limited in the ability to customize.
One thing with bullpup configured guns is that they fit better for CQB if you can't have an SBR. They snug to your body differently, but I do like the feel a more (less stretching of your arms, at least the way I shoot bullpups...pistol grips style). This is one of the reasons why I have a PS90 on my list as well as the FS2000.

Re: 6920 or FS2000?
i have a couple AR15's and I have a FS2000 and i'm going to go against the grain and recommend the FS2000. the FS2000 is just as reliable and just as accurate as any AR15 i own but it does take a little getting use to because it feels and handles differently than the AR15. the upside to the FS2000 is it's easier to manuever in close QTR's because it's length is shorter than your standard AR. I've never had a malfunction with my FS2000 and FN quality is just as good as any other firearm manufacturer. the down side to the FS2000 is you can use drums or 20 rd mags. i haven't tried to use a pmag in my FS2000 but i've read they won't fit. mag changes also take a bit longer when compared to the AR15. in my opinion the FS2000 is very well balanced and can be brought on target very quickly. it looks ungainly at first until you handle one and then it feels just about perfect. the FS2000 is exepnsive and you're not going to get into one for less than 1800 with most selling NIB for around 2 grand +/- a 100 bucks. 6920's are running as low as 1200 bucks at places like tanners so the 800 bucks you save can buy a lot of ammo, mags and accessories.
