What are the chances that the reciprocity agreement with Florida will be cancelled? Will the law makers in PA cancel the agreement?

I wouldn't say she is confused, more like ignorant.
I sent this e-mail:
Ms. Kalson,
Your article stinks so bad I can smell it all the way across the state here in Philly.
"That would mean a convicted felon who can't pass muster in, say, Pennsylvania, could get a permit elsewhere, and local law enforcement would have no choice but to let him walk around with a loaded weapon."
How many convicted felons, who are prohibited from possessing firearms to begin with, are going to bother with a permit?
Please get your facts straight before you publish lies and hearsay.Last edited by priell3; September 27th, 2011 at 09:23 AM.

Re: I think Sally is a bit confused, maybe we can help her.
You know, whenever some liberal gun-grabber objects to the National Reciprocity Bill by pointing to the Marquis Hill case, I want to say, 'Is that your whole argument'?
All these opponents seem to say is 'look at the Marquis Hill case'! I'm sorry, but if all you have is ONE case of a former LTCF holder misbehaving, and then getting the Florida permit after his record (at the time) was expunged, then you don't have much of a case, do you? There are about 700,000 LTCF holders in PA, and about half a million permit holders in FL; pointing to one questionable case of poor judgement (Hill) is hardly an argument against a social policy that is to have effect nation wide.
What do the liberals always say when they object to concealed carry laws? They say, 'public safety trumps individual cases of self defense'; in other words, the overall big picture matters, not individual cases of persons defending themselves. But now, when permit to carry is being considered nationwide, all the gun-grabbers seem to use as an argument strategy is to point to the ONE INDIVIDUAL CASE of Marquis Hill. Suddenly, the big picture, public safety of everyone (who can carry for legitimate protection) is ignored.
The hypocrasy is mind-numbing.
