Thoughts on S@W 3913LS
I am considering purchasing a used S@W 3913LS in (in very good shape) because:
1) I always liked the look of them.
2) Its a little lighter than my Sig P-229.
3) It fits my hand a little better than the P-229, which fits rather well itself.
Despite the argument over the Hi-capacity difference, are there any thoughts out there on reliability, feeding issues or other matters? The history of this particular piece and its record are solid. Still, I'd appreciate any opinions or warnings.
Besides, the price is good!

Welcome to the forum Freebird.
I bought a used 3913 awhile back for all the reasons you listed. Then my brother bought it from me. It keeps on shootin'...
S&W will back you up if you have any problems with it. Get yourself an extra mag for when you carry it.
Good luck...Mike45

Re: Thoughts on S@W 3913LS
I bought 3913(Not LS version, eventho I was looking for one for my GF to use).
I think its ugriest looking gun.
But it shoots everytime trigger is pressed. each and everytime, and never failed on me(and I've shot good 2000~3000rds out of it)
Its accurate(eventho sight is off a bit, at least grouping is good).
I bought it for my GF. But I ended up carrying it for a while.
And I still do time to time...

My wife bought a used 3913LS about a year ago. Have about 700 rnds through it. Never had a problem.
Not too crazy about the trigger pull but then again its not for target shooting.

i got lucky awhile back and picked up a 3913 N/L model, which is the same as the LS without ladysmith written on it. can't say enough good things about it, and like you ( it sounds like you have small hands ) it fits my hand real well. buy the gun, you won't be sorry, and as mentioned above get a couple spare mags. good luck

Re: Thoughts on S@W 3913LS
39XX are good pistols. I carried a 3953 for years that was a one-ragged-hole-maker at 15 yards, and the only reason that I tossed it to the side was the fact that I could no longer easily go through a box of ammo in DAO at the range.
As it is, I still have a 39-2, and if you think the 39XXs are a fine wine, the 39-2s make them look like stale ChampaleŽ.
