Which Bolt Carrier?
I am building my first AR and Del-Ton has 2 different bolt carriers. One says AR-15 and one says m-16. What is the difference in bolt carriers?
Any advantage to using one over the other? Or do I have to use a certain one?
It's an M4 type weapon with a collapsable stock, 16" barrel, and flattop upper. I don't know if that makes a difference.
Thanks!

Re: Which Bolt Carrier?
Really, get the AR-15 one.
There have been some ridiculous ATF rulings that if you're using full auto parts in a semi auto it can be construed as an NFA item.
So, might as well play it safe and grab the AR-15 carrier.

Re: Which Bolt Carrier?
You got it right! ATF&E will have a fit if there is one M16 part in a AR15 ! They claim it is a machine gun so just stick with AR15 parts.
Just wondering about all the old AR's that were sold with M16 bolt carriers are they grandfathered or just another loophole they can arrest you on?
