Need to paint my sights- help needed
I have a Smith and Wesson M&P, and the paint has worn off on both the front and rear sights.
I want to repaint the three dots, but have no idea what is good paint to use. THanks for any help.

Nail polish works but I use appliance touch up paint. You can get it from Lowes or Home Depot for only a few bucks.
Home brewing; because Jeeps and ammunition aren't cheap. WILL WORK FOR AMMO & FIREARMS!

Try shooting it with just black sights.

Re: Need to paint my sights- help needed
Some of us (older) guys have a little trouble with black sights on a black target background. Especially if under a lower light area like an outdoor shooting pavilion, etc. I have tried expensive sight paint, but usually just go back to good old nail polish. Make sure you de-grease the area with something that won't hurt the finish, rubbing alcohol works for me.
You asked this question at the best time of the year that you could have asked it.
Since it is now the pre-"Halloween' season, the once a year marketing push to sell Glow-in-the-dark nail polish and acrylic paint is everywhere it seems.
Most places like Wal-Mart or party stores that sell costumes and similiar have it right now.
Pick up a few bottles in different colors. Not sure if your sights were originally white in color, but that can be found too.
Myself, bright orange works best for me, but YMMV.LUKE 11:21 == Proverbs 29:2 = Proverbs 25:28

Best applicator i found was a tooth pick and remember little coats. get to thick and it will never dry. I like a white front and blacked out rears.

I'll second the nail polish. Pink. Looks darn cute on M&P.

Re: Need to paint my sights- help needed
I bought BRIGHT SIGHTS high visibility gun sight paint kit on ebay and used a toothpick to apply the paint, rub the sights with rubbing alcohol let dry and apply 2 coats of the paint.
The paint works wonders and makes it basically glow in sunlight.
this is the cheapest alternative to getting new sights.
if you lived closer I would let you borrow the paint but I am lending it back out on tuesday.

you can find good flouresent paint at any hobby / craft shop that'll work great
you can also find luminesent paint that will glow in the dark
my fav is flouresent yellow, but I also like to blacken the rear sights, makes it easier to focus on the front one (especially us old guys with bi-focals)Honesta Mors Turpi Vita Potior ~ 3%
