Police: Adams County Man Spotted With Gun In Custody

    http://www.wgal.com/news/27503580/detail.html

“It was terrifying,” said store clerk Jackie Takatsui. “You work at a convenience store and they get robbed all the time. Now I’ve got someone standing outside the store with a gun.”
Anyone find any more information about this? Was this entire search spawned by an MWAG call or were they looking for this guy before? The news is kind of sketchy.

The theme of the article makes it sound like the person was being sought because he may have been suspected to be mentally unstable. If they had valid concern for that, I don't think a search would be uncalled for.

There was a Mental Health Warrant issued for him. Supposedly he threatened someone in the parking lot with the gun in hand. Jackie has never freaked when she saw my holstered gun, so I doubt that was the case.

The gun was recovered yesterday sometime, and the suspect was found early this morning.

Supposedly the District Judge whose office is right there tried to confront the guy before he fled.

Also, from what I understand, his family called police when he had an argument with them and left. They later called when they discovered the gun missing, and presumed that he took it.

Thank you, I figured there was more to the story than what they were reporting. I saw the initial story yesterday when the search started and it wasn't clear why they were initially looking.

Ugh. That news station couldn't have slanted the story more to make it more anti-gun if they had used a tacti-cool AR-15 as the background wallpaper.
