Old Colt now in stable
This is an old Colt it is a second Argentine Contract Colt 45/1911
There were 1000 made for export to argentina in 1915, They were delivered on a ship which was built here for the Argentina Army, They were built with Colt Commercial production and sent off to Argentina.
I dont know much more about these, all I know is that it has a couple of non period correct parts which I am looking to replace when I can find them!
Just thought i'de share my new toy!
Peter.

Brian, I am laughing, You are right, and oh so quick, Trigger/slide stop/lanyard loop $$$mag, and grips are needed to bring it back to period correct. You are a smart one!

Beautiful one,I have an argentinian colt 1927,made by colt in USA,grips are a bit bigger than regular colts,an Ballester Molina's grips won't fit, looking to get a pair done like the originals and then parkerize it like original, they are beautiful guns, shoot safe...
