Man arrested after gun discharges inside Giant Eagle; 2 hit by bullet fragments

A man was arrested and is facing charges after two people were struck by bullet fragments when his gun discharged inside the Richland Township Giant Eagle Friday, police said.

According to the Northern Regional police chief, Gerry Good, 59, of Hampton Township, was wearing a fanny pack when he leaned over inside the store and his gun discharged.

The chief said the bullet hit the floor and fragments hit two people, an older man and woman, grazing their legs.

Police said the two people were hit superficially and quickly treated on the scene.

Good was arrested and charged with two simple assault charges and two reckless assault charges. Authorities took him to the county jail to be arraigned.

Not too much info wether or not the gun was secured in a holster in a fanny pack or if he just had in flopping it around in the fanny pack.
