"I cling to guns and religion" t-shirt,open carry?
Anything think an open carry with t-shirts with "I cling to guns and religion" coordinated throughout the state about a month before election day, would that be a good idea? Would it be especially good if it got national coverage, and/or we coordinate it with our brethren in other states?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I bet not all gun owners are religious.

And conversely, not all religious people are firearm owners. But I think we can come together prior to November in order to defeat someone who denigrates both guns AND religion. A nice state-wide street sweep might get national coverage. Best would be PA and Ohio, and a few other swing states.

Uh, wouldn't that be the whole point, to sway more gun owners (and religious folk,) TO vote against the anti-gun candidate? Maybe you should sit this one out...
: )))
Edit: The NRA is spending 45 million this election cycle to do just that: bring out gun owners to vote against Barack Obama. It ain't rocket science...
Further edit: Over 130 million churchgoers in this country. Nah, wouldn't be a good idea to try sway a few of those folk.
p.s. When do I get "Supporting Member" status? When my check clears?Last edited by tobor; July 27th, 2008 at 12:03 AM.

Take the religion part out of it and I'd buy/wear one

How about a shirt that just says " I am a firearm owner, and I vote!"
