Desert Eagle 45
Does any one have one of these guns? I recently purchased one of these a few months ago and am not sure I made the rite decision. I like the gun ok and i supose if it didnt work i could beat them to death with the thing cause it weights a ton and its not verry accurate. Apart from all that would it be suitable for home defence or should i just dump the brick ? Thanks

Re: Desert Eagle 45
Agreed. Most all so called "inaccurate" firearm almost always because the shooter not doing something right, either griping it wrong, jurking the gun, or wrong sight picture.
Most of them are bad trigger control tho(that I've seen)
Most modern firearms are capable of shooting more then the shooter is able.
To truely know if gun is shooting inaccurate, you'll have to place the gun on rest and take human element out of equation as much as you canLast edited by Mity2; May 3rd, 2008 at 04:55 PM.

I agree with what's been said here - 9 times out of 10 an inaccurate gun is more user error then anything.
Post some pictures of you holding it at the range, including detail shots of your grip on the weapon. This will help us determine what may be causing the problems.
Failing that, I'll take it off your hands - not that I can pay you anything for it... Need some photography work done, maybe?

Re: Desert Eagle 45
My advice would be to get out and shoot it more.
When I first bought my Glock 36 (.45ACP), it seemed to be very inaccurate, but after I practiced with it more, I got much better with it and realized the inaccuracy was more my fault than anything. I almost made the mistake of trading it in for something else, but one of the gun shop employees gave me the advice of practicing with it more, and it's now my favorite pistol I own.
