Holster leather question: (I can see you guys cringe already)
So fellas, I finally got my first "real" holster, a Bianchi professional. I really like it, very comfortable and it fits Perro Negro very well.
So here is the issue. The holster is brown, and my belts are black. It's made for concealment, but if I do want to OZC with it I don't want the police to comment on my lack of style while I'm being cuffed in the Wal*mart parking lot.
I understand leather dye is not too difficult, but couldn't I just slap some sharpie on it and call it a day? Or would that somehow be bad for the leather?

i am not a leather expert, but as general fashion advice goes.... anything that ends with "just slap some sharpie on it" is not a good idea.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and make an assumption that you may very well have a brown belt or could get one.
If black is all you Goth types dress up with, buy another holster to match.
Everyone here should have many holsters. It's part of the process. When you fill up your first drawer with seldom used holsters, you have a holster sale to get more money to try additional holsters.
Trust me on this.

NO NO NO..... a Sharpie will NOT work... it will be black for a little while but will rub off on your clothes... and unless you want black EVERYTHING go to a die.... but why didnt you just buy one in black in the first place ???

Maybe try to wrap electrical tape around it.
OR, just buy a new belt. Spend the money before it gets moldy.““Liberty is the right to choose. Freedom is the result of the right choice.””

But it always worked for Duct Tape!
True, but for now I only have brown, and while my financial situation is improving there are a lot more things I could be spending money on right now.
Picked it up for a great price.
(What about the Industrial sharpie? I'll even "clear coat" over it)
My brown belt is too nice, and the leather is kind of soft. I don't want to scratch it.
Because I'm a dick.
Actually, the answer is finances. Have a lot of things in my list above fashion holsters.
They do make black duct tape.....

Buy a new brown belt then. lol A new brown belt is a hell of a lot cheaper than a new black holster.

I'll check the local tack shop and see if they have any. If not, we will see what happens.
Any other "MacGyver ideas that would work?
