Have You Seen These Uppers?
I've noticed at the last few shows I've been to, alot of vendors are selling AR Uppers (they're making) with what seems to be the same receiver.
They're flat tops with white numbering / T2 T4 T5 etc.
I asked a couple of the guys about them and I was told the were FN Contract?
Mil Spec.
Some had Bushmaster barrels on them, some said Wilson barrells.
Anybody know what I'm talking about?
If so, are these quality receivers?
Thanks.

Re: Have You Seen These Uppers?
anyone can slap t marks on an upper.
you're going to want to look for a forge code or something similar marked on the receiver.

Re: Have You Seen These Uppers?
Is a forge code a little symbol / shape?
Anyone have any examples, codes for the different manufacturers?

Re: Have You Seen These Uppers?
I don't have any handy (I'm not at home right now) but if you go to m4carbine.com or ar15.com there are sections that will answer that question (about forging marks for the different manufacturers).
The "T" markings are reference points for things attached to the uppers. That way you can take them off and put them back on in the same position.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member
