Hunters or Firearms Enthusiast

Often when I speak with people about firearms and my hobbies, they assume I am a hunter. I am not. I have never been whitetail hunting and only hunted for Pheasant on very few occasions. I am just curious if our little PAFOA community is made up of primarily hunters or firearms enthusiasts.

I love hunting for the challenge . Which is why I enjoy archery and muzzleloader hunting the most.Though I'm equally as happy target shooting at the range or shooting clays in my backyard ( gotta love living on a farm). I shoot a 16 week indoor archery league and 3D's with the bow. So I geuss I'm really a shooting enthusiast, though my original passion is hunting.

I love hunting big game and small game offers a chance for family bonding time with my brothers and father.

However, I'm a shooter first. I shoot very often to satisfy my desire for trigger time. But other than black bear and whitetails, the only driving force to go hunting is family camaraderie.


So... I voted that I'm a hunter.

i am both a hunter and avid outdoorsman, i love shooting targets especially AR15 and 9mm's.

i hunt small game with 12 gauge and 30-30 win for deer.

I voted yes, because I hunt and I own firearms. BUT, I also thoroughly enjoy other shooting sports as well if not more so! I spend more time on the range then in the woods. So, I guess I would say that I am a firearms enthusiast who hunts.

I guess I am both a Firearm Enthusiast and a Hunter. Owned a few military surplus rifles and a few pistols for many years now, This past May went Spring Gobbler and this past November - 1st day of Buck.... became hooked on hunting....add 12gauge and Deer Rifle to the list....lol

I enjoy hunting but I go so seldomly that I have to condiser myself more of a firearms enthusist rather than a hunter who owns firearms. One of the more decent polls though. Thanks for asking.

Yes I am a hunter but except for wing shooting and shooting all the clay games I am a bow hunter. I think PAFOA is more a 2nd Amendment forum than it is a hunting forum and that is why I am here. Protecting our rights to keep and bare arms is the most important objective there can be for free people.
