2nd Amendment can't win against tanks and choppers etc
There's a post that was recently put up on social media. I'm just going to retype it since I'm on mobile and can't really screenshot the whole thing. I have my own thoughts on it, but I'm not exactly an authority on armed insurrection. I'm curious what our members here think.
"1. Look, I try to be open minded, and I'm actually fine with gun ownership for both sport and home defense. But as soon as you start with the "and they guarantee our freedom from tyranny" you slot into "delusional". Just full-stop bugfuck nuts. Stop helping.
2. Stop. You and your scrappy gang of wolverines are not going to defeat drone warfare, attack choppers, or tanks. That's not how it works. You are literally tagging "here's my cosplay wank fantasy" as the third rung onto two fairly decent points.
3. I know I'm about to get blasted by amateur history grievance muppets misquoting Yamamoto, but no, the history of the US is about armed militias fighting other armed militias, never winning against the government. That includes the biggest losers, the Confederates.
4. When tyranny comes, it will come through the ballot box, late stage capitalism, and infrastructure warfare. You're pimping an 18th century solution vs 21st century military and surveillance tech.
5. Just a heads up, if you'd like "pretty okay with the 2nd Amendment liberals" like me to take you seriously, leave off the crazy Natty Bumpo fantasy bits. Then we can pass some GVRO and background check laws and talk like fucking adults."

Re: 2nd Amendment can't win against tanks and choppers etc
In a book I read, this was talked about. The author used the terrorist group the IRA as an example. The British have been trying to get rid of them for years. There aren't many members and they all live on an island. They are still in operation. Imagine a group with hopefully 9 million members in the USA. That's only 3% which was all it took to defeat England. A war with people battling the US army is delusional but that wouldn't be how to fight it. Several events have paralyzed parts of our country over the years. The two biggest in recent history only had 3 people involved. The D.C. sniper all but shut down parts of Virginia and D.C. I was living there at the time. People were terrified. Kids weren't allowed out for recess. Millions of dollars and thousands of man hours were spent trying to catch those two animals. Next was that Austin bomber. I'm sure the entire city lived in fear until he was caught. Imagine these types of actions directed at law enforcement and the government undertaken by millions. Attacks on infrastructure, power grids, water supplies, oil refineries. This would break the will of the government and its supporters pretty quickly. Marching down the streets with firearms is for idiots. That is how I envision the second amendment standing up to Tyranny.
Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

As usual, the leftards tend to forget world history, there is a long history of guerrilla warfare of locals, with military assistance, who are woefully outgunned winning their countries back or at least dragging out wars until the invading country goes home:

They always seem to assume the military will side with the government.
I have more faith in most of them a will not.Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.
