ammo suggestion

Need a recommendation for target ammo for Ruger Mark IV.

For cheap bulk i've had good luck with the Federal Auto match as well as Remington golden bullets which are typically crap in semi autos. I also like CCI Mini Mags they run in everything and have better accuracy then the bulk boxes. For affordable match ammo Wolf is excellent as it's rebranded Lapua.

What I don't care for is that Winchester Super X that's being sold in the same 100 round boxes as the Mini Mags. We had a lot of failure to fires and less the stellar accuracy in my daughter's savage bolt action.

Agree with Federal Automatch, CCI standard velocity has been very consistent for me in the old MK I & MK II.

CCI standard works great in my mkII as well. I've also had good luck with the federal automatch and hipower stuff.

My MKII has been working with any ammo since the 1980's. It really likes CCI mini mags and Stingers. Although I've read that the target chambered MKIIs may have issues with Stingers due to the chamber length, I've never had any problems with any ammo in mine.

I used to shoot the Federal Champion bulk boxes a lot. Haven't seen them around for a while.
