Finally ordered my Upper

I've had my AR lower complete for almost 6 months, but haven't had the cash available to get my upper put together. I finally got an opportunity for some extra dough and ordered mine from Del-Ton today. It's nothing fancy (I can trick it out as I get the money) but it shoots 5.56. I got the flat top with detachable carry handle shipped for $503. Not a bad deal. Just don't know how long it will take to get here. I'll post pics once it gets here. The website says 12-16 weeks. I'm hoping it doesn't take quite that long.

Congrats and good luck with del-ton. They are way backed up. Did they give you a guess on when you might see it? Posts on other boards have been saying it could be up to a 6 month wait.

The notice on the main page says 12-16 week wait. Mine is pretty much stock (less a hand guard) so I'm hoping that it goes out a little quicker. I'm going to call on Monday and see what they anticipate.

Not to take over your thread but i orded a ultralite .50bmg upper for my AR15. i have a 4-6 week wait 1600.00 for a 22" barrel. I have a 5.56 barrel on mine also its a good varmit barrel. I bought it as a whole.

Del-Ton builds some nice uppers.

Did you get the M4 feed ramps? I didn't see what barrel length/configuration you ordered.

I got the 16" flat top M4 config. I didn't get the M4 feed ramps as I figured it was just more money for something that won't make a huge difference. At this point I just want to be able to shoot the thing, and with my limited funds I cut back everywhere I could. This is my first AR, so if money improves I can get a higher end upper at some point.
