Wearing holes in my pants
I know I’m not the only one who has holes in his/her pants from carrying IWB. My question is:
Is the wear primarily from the gun/holster rubbing on the INside of the pants, or from things OUTside the pants rubbing through to the gun/holster? I am getting ready to pick up a few more pairs of pants for work, and want to keep this in mind when I check them out. If I go to a tailor for custom work, I *definitely* want to know so we can come up with solutions.
Thanks.

Re: Wearing holes in my pants
This is a sign that your pants are too tight. Could be the fault of the pants...could be your fault...but either way, it's not the gun's fault. I've never seen a gun order a Big Mac and feed it to anyone.

I'm just glad that this thread didn't turn out to be connected somehow with the "Gun Babe" thread.

Re: Wearing holes in my pants
I wouldn't worry about wearing out a pair of pants or two. If it's the IWB carry and you are worried about wearing out your pants get a shoulder holster or OWB

Re: Wearing holes in my pants
Never had a holster wear a hole in my pants. I only have leather IWB with no sharp edges though.
I do have issues with something else wearing holes in my pants but that's only because it's so abnormally huge and frightening.

A $1 iron on patch may well solve your problem.

Re: Wearing holes in my pants
I have work a hole in 1-2 pairs of pants in 5 yrs of carry daily. Granted that's with 4-5 Jean rotation. And I don't wear skinny jeans etc. your normal run of the mill carhartt, Levi etc loose fit. Get an iron on patch and continue or retire the jeans. They are only like $30
