Default This should be no surprise but...

I found the officer down memorial page (www.odmp.org) and I did a search for Pennsylvania Police officers killed by gunfire in the last 30 years. Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski (R.I.P.) was the ONLY officer killed with an "assault rifle" since 1978. Infact, only 4 other officers were killed with any type of rifle in this same period, the last one being in 1983, with a .30-.06. I havn't heard this in any of the newspapers so I figured I'd share.

Definatley no surprise there. Misinformation has become so common place that I'm beginning to think they teach it in journalism school.

    One killed by assault rifle.

How many officers were killed by feral thugs?

While they're spending so much time tracking the rifle involved in the murder, I'd hope they also spend time tracking down every judge and parole board member who contributed to letting the animals who did this back on the street and give them a couple of years.

Career criminals need to be euthanized. Three strikes, you're out.

I second that. These guys don't care or think about what repercussions they may face when comitting a crime...they all know they'll be back out fairly shortly, and while they're in prison, they probably have it better than when they're free.

The "justice" system is such a joke now. We should at least start handing out "eye for an eye" type punishments to make BGs think a little before they harm others.

    My version of 3 strikes:

Strike 1: You go to jail for a while.
Strike 2: You go to jail for an even longer while.
Strike 3: You don't go to jail. Instead, every LEO and legally armed citizen gets to play "open season" on your stupid, worthless ass!

Hmm.....I think this concept could make the criminal justice system a lot more fun! (For a little while, at least; until enough criminals are pushing up posies that the other wannabe thugs give up).
