Re: I find myself carrying this more and more lately.
I often carry a S&W model 36 OWB.

Re: I find myself carrying this more and more lately.
I find it extremely easy to carry and I shoot well with it. Those are my two main criteria for a carry gun.

Re: I find myself carrying this more and more lately.
I have 3 main carry guns but the one I carry most is a snobby with wad cutters in a pocket holster in my jeans. Have a gun is the best one. The snubby is it 70% of the time for me.

If that is a model 38 Bodyguard Airweight, I have the same gun. Its my "I'm not carrying a gun" gun. Doesn't get carried a lot, but last year I started golfing again and I carry it to and from the golf course and driving range in a Mika pocket holster.
One of the many different J frames that I have owned during the years. While on duty, a J frame was always my BUG.Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

My normal "man about town" pistol is a 442-1, particularly in summer when I'm in shorts.

Re: I find myself carrying this more and more lately.
My 442 w/crimson trace goes in my front pocket and is with me more than anything else.
On a side note, you guys with M&P 38s, I had one of those a few years ago. I never carried it because while shooting it I noticed I could lock the cylinder and trigger up if I pulled the trigger half way and released it. The cylinder would rotate half way and lock in that position, the only way to unlock it was to physically rotate the cylinder by hand. It happened to me once by accident on my first range trip and I was able to repeat it at will. Before anyone says," why would you pull the trigger half way then release it". There was a father with his young son at the table next to me, as I was shooting I saw something in the corner of my eye that I thought was the kid running out on the range, turns out it was one of their targets that blew off the table.
Anyway, if a locking cylinder is something that concerns you,.give it a try next range trip. It concerned me enough that I sold it without ever carrying it. Loved everything else about the gun though. The Hostler

Been carrying a J Frame for over 25 years. I recommend the Mika pocket holster. Looks like crap, works like a champ!
