Default Finally a 25 round 10/22 magazine from Ruger: the BX-25

I got one this past weekend. It was a gift so no comment on price. It feels beefy and looks good so I'm digging the ergonomics and aesthetics. The steel feed lips are good and I haven't done it yet (and probably never will) but it splits for cleaning with two Allen head screws. I fired some Federal bulk pack ammo through it without a problem. So far it seems like a good buy! Time to go shoot more and confirm. I usually only shoot with Butler Creek 25 round mags which can jam sometimes. Hopefully the Ruger is less finickey. Anyone else get one?

Well, it's about time! Ruger is always a day late and a dollar short it seems. They lost a lot of market and money NOT making these sooner.

It was a gift so no comment on price.
They are going for $30 on the shop ruger website, not that bad of a price.

I won't be buying one any time soon, my Butler Creeks with the steel feed lips have been working without a hitch. I also like the "see through" aspect to see how many you have left in the mag.

Well they just started putting the extended mag release on their guns. So I think they figured out that we don't all carry a pencil or have small fingers to monkey with the original factory one.

I'll wait to get one, not saying that Ruger wouldn't know what they are doing but I'm going to be beating down any doors to replace my Butler Creek mags that work just fine.

Neat to see them doing this, and they appear to be good quality mags... but as mentioned, Ruger is a little late off the starting line with this one...

Now if they only thought of putting the adjustment screws on like the TI-25 mags.

Yep, Ruger is late to the party on this one. WAYYYYYYY late.

Glad to see a 25 round mag that (hopefully) feeds correctly. I've had little luck with Butler Creek and Shooters Ridge in a number of 10/22s.
