The terrible thing is if she had said that while a on the force - she would have lost her job.

Criminals obey "gun control" laws in the same manner politicians follow their oaths of office!

Re: Former Harrisburg Police Chief recommends carry of firearms!
Yes, while that's true, seeing the admission, and the look on her face, was priceless. Just get tired of the tired supposition by anti-gunners that the police don't want people to have the right to have access to handguns for their own protection. Very nice to see the truth now and then to not feel like the firearms community are freaks on a distant island. Knowing it's true, and seeing it said out loud by someone of note, are two completely different levels of legitimacy. Would love to hear how many on the force feel the same way.

If she is that pro-gun, I suggest that she contact all of the other former police captains of major cities that think like she does and start lobbying their legislatures on pro-2A issues to put the weight of their titles to good use. An organization like that would carry some weight when dealing with current Police Departments and Mayors.

Guess they would all have to be ex-officials too. Those still relying on the purse strings to maintain the force with replacement officers and equipment would likely have little choice but to bite their tongues until safe. It's the ones who are active and stand up to the government they have to work with that truly have earned respect.

Now that she is off the force, she is very pro gun. Was she pro gun while on the force?

Man, some of you just can't seem to see how this is a positive thing that there are people in government positions that harbor similar perspectives that we do.
Cops aren't suppose to be activists anyways. They are there to serve and protect their communities, not act like politicians while on duty.
