Nothing new, just a change in the names of the players. In 1993, William Keisling wrote a book titled "When the Levee Breaks," which detailed a long history of corruption in the PTC. Years ago, they structured the Commission so that both parties share in the patronage opportunities. Since the Chairman is appointed by the sitting Governor, he/she is the tie breaker among the equal number of Democrat and Republican members.

While its scary this is also clearly written by someone who is VERY pro-lease on the turnpike, not an outside observer or a neutral observer.

Take it for what it is guys. more propaganda bullshit from one side or the other. Both options suck, the gov't is taking the money and spending it wherever they want and the lease wouldn't solve this problem.
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.
