I*ve already made my nut and retired. That money would be property where I could shoot off my back porch and maybe some water on it.

You may as well figure 2 million becomes about $1.2 million after the tax man. Not enough to retire on for sure, but for most should zero out any outstanding debt + give a nice chunk to invest into the market.

I worked with a guy that hit the $1,000/week for life, he's pretty much broke until he gets his annual check. He then uses that annual check to pay debts off and restarts the cycle every year last I knew.

I've been seeing some TikTok's from people that report on Edwin Castro, the guy that hit the largest Powerball yet. Lump sum was $997.6 million so he likely took home around $600 million. So far the guy has spent $76.5 million on mansions alone in California. At the rate of spending it won't take him but 5 years max and he'll be broke. Those three houses alone probably cost $3-5 million a year just maintaining them with staff, gardening, housekeeping, taxes etc.
