Henry Golden Boy and slings
Anyone put a sling on their Henry Golden Boy?
How did you do it? Can you post pics?
I'm wondering if its ok to install the bottom part of the swivel where the large screw goes a little bit behind the lever.

Re: Henry Golden Boy and slings
I've got an H001...no sling.
However, I'm posting to suggest you call Henry (phone number is in the owner's manual). If everything I've heard or read about Henry's customer service is true, I'm sure they'll be glad to answer your questions.
You can also try http://www.rimfirecentral.com/. There's a Henry forum on that site.

Re: Henry Golden Boy and slings
I do have an email that I sent to them yesterday afternoon. I was just hoping someone else might have done it and could tell me before Henry could.

Re: Henry Golden Boy and slings
Doesn't the screw behind the reciever go from top to bottom?
I would just drill the stock and you "MAY" find a sling swivel to go onto the mag tube , they make them that way for centerfire lever guns but I am not sure about 22lr sizes , if not I would drill the forearm , if having a sling ment that much to me.

Re: Henry Golden Boy and slings
Well then it seems it is different than my "non" golden boy henry.
If you do not want to drill it but still would like a sling for "every once in awhile" type of thing , there is a generic sling out there , made mainly for shotguns , that slips around the butt of the gun and a loop goes around the barrel. Granted it certainly is not an ideal sling , but for once in awhile kind of stuff may be an option.

Found a sling! Ordered one of these:
http://brproducts.blogspot.com/2007/...ive-sling.html
No drilling or modifications for the gun are needed and it looks Old West-ish which is a plus (for me at least, because thats the main reason I got a Henry Golden Boy). Only $19.99 from Cabela's. It's called a slip-on sling.
It's made by Triple K. It's made of leather. I'm not very familar with leather products, but the main long part seems a bit thin.

Re: Henry Golden Boy and slings
I have the Henry Frontier with a braided leather sling. Had "Gun World" (local gun shop) install. The leather sling suits the western style look. Can't post picture since the gun is at camp. Butt stock drilled for rear mount and the front mount is attached to the ammo tube.
