Default Suggestions for Self Setting Targets???

I am looking for some suggestions on Self Setting targets. I was considering this one from Cabelas.

    http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...043&hasJS=true

... but the reviews don't look to good. The targets seem to break off with high calibers.

    Same with this one:

The reviews on the .22 targets look better on Cabelas site.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe I should just by a 10 lb barbell plate and suspend that?

    Thanks.

Your links don't point to the product...

Sounds to me that you are looking for steel "poppers" or "Reactive" targets. They are a bit more expensive but they last a lot longer than cheap ones.

    Like these:

    Toujours prêt

Sorry I bumbled the links. I fixed them now.

The links you gave me look really good. Prices not bad on the links you gave me compared to what I was seeing at R&R and MGM.

I will probably need one set for shooting pistol and one set for shooting rifle. I shoot various calibers from .22 up through 7.62x54R.

I think M520 AUTO RESET POPPER for $106 on letargets.com is just what I had in mind.

Edit: I just placed my order with them. Thanks again for putting me on to them.

I have one of these and have shot many hundreds, if not thousands of .22 LR into it. The paper targets quickly vanished, but I have a can of bright yellow paint, so I just glom some more on from time to time when it gets hard to see. One of the spinners needs a new roll pin, but other than that, it has held up well. I would not shoot it with anything more than a .22 though.

I was planning to pick up one of those the next time I was at Cabelas for .22. The reviews on that one looks good.

I have one as well, and it has survived being on the uncovered porch for 2 years. Paint has faded, but a quick shot of rattle can paint makes the targets good to shoot again. The one issue, is if you have rocky ground, those stakes arent the best, imo.
