    Default Ammunition Malfunction

Well, today I went to the range to try out Hornady’s Critical Defense ammunition for my Kahr CW9. I have read some mixed emotions concerning this ammunition on pafoa and other forums. So I loaded my first magazine since this is the ammo I plan on using for CC. First two shots where grouped in the bull’s-eye, the next cartridge was a miss fire. I ejected the miss fire and shot the remaining 4 cartridges without any problems. Has anybody had issues with a certain ammunition in their firearms? Also, I have shot about 1200 rounds of Winchester FMJ through this gun with 0 problems. Maybe just a picky firearm? Should I stick to shooting a Winchester brand? Thanks for the feedback.

    I'll never buy the stuff.

You're not the only one having problems with it apparently.

First was the primer hit hard was there a good indentation on the primer? I have had a couple of rounds over the years where the primer was just bad and did not go off. Try the rest of the ammo if you do not have any other problems then it was just a bad round. With only 7 rounds fired I think it is too soon to say picky firearm.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

The primer had a hard hit. I havent had a chance to shoot the rest of the ammo. I have shot plenty of Winchester FMJ with 0 problems. I'm probally better off sticking to a Winchester Self Defense Round.

Thanks for the references. I will probaly take it to the range and just blast the remaining rounds. For 24 $ a box you would think that it would work without a malfunction. I guess its just trial and error when selecting a good self defense round for CC.
