This is one of the mantras to those of us who believe in the right to self-defense, and has been around a long time.

When seconds count, they'll be there in minutes. It's not meant as a bash against police, just the facts.

I just showed this to my oldest daughter who just turned 21. She is reluctant to carry at this point. Has her LTCF but hasn't picked a gun to carry. I've always been around for protection and she isn't grasping the fact that no, I'm not. I'm letting the idea seep in, I'm figuring it'll dawn on her that she has to take responsibility for her own safety now.
