The method of operation is to private message you and tell you that you should contact such 'n such person at a given email address.

Please report the private messages. Staff will ban the offender, and I will implement an IP ban. Unfortunately these scammers are using VPN/proxy services, which may mean your VPN/proxy may be blocked.
Attention! About VPN's and foreign IP addresses.

When signing up, do so from a US based Internet Service Provider. Turn off any VPN/safe-browsing feature. Failure to do so will result with your new account denied.

If you run into a IP ban afterwards as a member, again - turn off your VPN or switch servers. We do not ban legit Internet Service Providers from the USA(exception for certain individual IP addresses). Free VPN's tend to get banned too. We try not to ban legit subscription VPN services, but they rarely label their IP blocks correctly.

If you run into an IP ban, it likely wasn't you.

A couple of talking points that I have not seen mentioned around here in a while.

In 1927 a scumbag used explosives to blow up large parts of a elementary school killing 38 children, 6 adults and wounding 58 others. Lots of things can kill large amounts of people. Guns, gasoline, propane, fertilizer, etc..... but only one can realistically stop an attacker. Banning gun to citizens will not stop violence. It will make honest citizens unable to realistically stop that violence though.

A good guy with a gun won’t stop a bad guy with a gun...... Wrong!

A scumbag decided to bring a gun to a school dance and start shooting people killing 1 and injuring 3. He was stopped when a man with a shotgun confronted him. Yes, it is better to have a firearm when a scumbag decides to lose it. Your chances of survival go way up. Go figure.
