YEADON — A borough man is facing up to 100 years in prison if convicted of illegal dealing in firearms.
U.S. Attorney Laurie Magid announced the filing of a 10-count indictment against Leon Booker, 30, on charges of illegal dealing in firearms without a license, possession and trafficking in stolen firearms, possessing a machine gun and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to the indictment, Booker was caught selling five machine guns and another firearm that had been stolen from a licensed firearms dealer. The weapons were stolen as the dealer was leaving a gun show at the Valley Forge Convention Center in December.
Booker is a convicted felon who is not permitted to own a gun, according to the indictment. He also told the gun buyer that the weapons had been stolen, according to the indictment.
In addition to a stiff prison term, Booker, if convicted, faces a $2.5 million fine and three years supervised release.
