Default Think an anti gun Mayor can't be elected in Phila?

    Candidate Votes Percent 2006

    RENDELL, ED (DEM) 2,470,517 60.4%
    Runningmate: KNOLL, CATHERINE BAKER

    SWANN, LYNN (REP) 1,622,135 39.6%
    Runningmate: MATTHEWS, JIM

    20% more votes to Rendell.

And these results in a pro gun, pro hunting state. Why is this I wonder?
Don't enough gunners vote? Why not?

You can bet Nutter will get elected big time, between him & fast Eddy they are & will try to dismantle our gun rights. Its happening right now.

disclaimer: With this reply, I'm not saying all Democrats are Anti.

Big cities will fall to the anti-gun or Democrat side nearly everytime. The Democrats cator to the poor and low income far more than the Republicans do. ...guess where people migrate to when for free public housing and government support - thats right, the big cities. And with Democrats being more likely to be anti-gun, theres a greater potential to have an anti in office. Look at the state of New York, if New York City wasn't part of New York State, there would be a good chance for it to become Shall Issue.

We need to stop the migration of poor to the cities and work on Republican support for the low income. So long as you have an anti offering free handouts, he will get elected in densely populated areas.

Amen. If you look at the breakdown of votes, the majority of those cast for Democrats come from the Allegheny County region and the Philadelphia region.
