3D printing
So I'm new here. (Well, at least as a firearms owner, and to the boards in general, but not to PA).
I was living in MD, and the legislators down there, when they weren't raising taxes, they were taking away firearms rights. Quite a few got their panties in a wad about 3D printing and tried to ban 3D printing of firearms parts explicitly (considering that the bans already covered manufacture of banned items/parts, this was some lobbyist putting a buzzword in someone's ear).
Does anyone have any success stories (or horror stories) with printed parts? I'm thinking about purchasing a printer soon and trying my hand at less difficult stuff - mounts, grips, magazines, etc.
Also, where does the "you need an FFL" come in with manufacture? I know I'd need one of the types to sell a firearm or lower, but unsure about personal manufacture of accessories, or the AR lower itself.
For the record - I have a machined Al AR lower. I don't need to print one. But I want to know where the boundaries are before I even begin.

Re: 3D printing
In Philadelphia you cannot print a reciever . Also all nfa items would require nfa process.
