Ok I never heard of such an animal. Does it really work? How effective is it? Do you buy these in a gun shop? (No I am not going to run out and buy one...just curious is all) Do they really write like a pen? (Guess what I'd like to buy my family of sheep for Christmas along with their copies of the Constitution I have on order? ) <-----ok the part about the pen gun was a JOKE!

Does this count as something you need a LTCF in order to conceal? This thing has really got me thinking.

general geoff: its the same as a .22 pistol. it shoots .22lr up to wmr. tony fly: yes they are legal, its a AOW, 5.00 tax stamp. shefearsnothing: it works great. its only good up close and personal, the thing i like about it is it actually writes and looks like a real pen. most other penguns dont look like pens, they look like tire air pressure gauges or even worse. its only a one shot deal so it has to count. (if all else fails)

I don't know that they are class 3. My local shop had a few of them a year or so ago. They are not a class3 shop.

theres 2 types of pen guns, and it depends which type is a NFA weapon or not.

if the pen gun can be fired without manipulating into a different shape, meaning it looks like a pen, and you pull or release a striker to fire, its the NFA type(as said, AOW)

if the gun has to be manipulated into another shape before you can fire it, like a "Stinger" pen gun, then its NOT a NFA firearm.

thasts how the pen guns are rated legally.
