I find this gun very interesting. I read its very accurate. I tried to find another for sale with no luck though, want to compare prices.

Re: Is this an ok investment?
It would be nice to think that it would be worth that kind of money as I own an 8" barrelled Model 102. In reality, it is probably more a $350 - $500 type of gun, depending on completeness and condition. These were the nutz in the early to mid-60's for the rimfire stages of bullseye. In the 70's competitors moved to the Hi Standards with the military (1911) grip angle so as to transition better between the three stages of bullseye competition (rimfire, center fire and .45 ACP) and the 102's and the like, fell out of favor. Hi Standard went through several iterations and is currently located in Houston, TX. There may be a small, hardcore bunch of collectors and the original Hamden, CT guns would be their focus, but I think, at $1300, the seller is dreaming. Here's mine (I have the original box, tool and grips as well as the two barrel weights - seller only shows one in his GB ad - there were two that came with the gun)...

I know nothing about these guns, but if you login to GB you can check recent completed listings. Check these out for starters:

I noticed you asked about investment though. That, to me, is pretty risky, since the sport of that type of shooting has been largely replaced by things like 3 gun and IDPA. Guys today would probably buy something like that cause their dad or grandad had one 40 years ago.

The only shooters I know that would be into that are old retired shooters who already have one and don't use it.
