holster placement question.

More than likely a repost but what the heck. I was in Scranton for school when Hillary was giving another one of her anti-gun speeches. She was long gone by the time I was roaming the streets. I then noticed secret service leaving the area. I'm not sure who they were but they had New York plates and before the actual number had the letters NYP(New York Police?) But why would NYPD be protecting Hillary?

While I was walking past them I noticed one agent/officer had his gun placed inback of him rather than on the hip. Isn't that an unusual holster position? Of course he had a Glock probably a 19/23 since it was the compact size. But I was just curious...I know people carry in odd positions but that was extremely odd. They jumped in their SUV. I hope he had good lumbar support??

Only thing for the NYPD plates I can think is that she is still seanator there and afforded that protection.
