Re: What Is Wrong With This Picture?
Knock on wood, and crossing my fingers, I've never had any squib loads. It could happen to anyone at anytime.
Key is to pay attention to everything, even those around you who are shooting, their mistake could also end up yours.Jack

Re: What Is Wrong With This Picture?
My father in law had the same kind of thing happen to him in a 44 mag except it lodged half way between the barrel and cylinder, locked it tighter than a drum.
Had to tap the bullet back into the cylinder / empty brass to un lock it with live ammo around it, it was not fun.

Re: What Is Wrong With This Picture?
what do you mean by it doesnt have a bullet? i dont understand how you put that.. I always took it as a round that wasnt loaded correctly, or had a malfunction and the bullet didnt exit the muzzle? if it doesnt have a bullet at all how does a bullet get stuck in the muzzle?
the day me, skuggi, frenchy and michaelb went to my range this lady had a squid just about every shot i dont know if it was the gun or what but they already had a rod and a hamer available.. and she didnt seem to smart so i kept my distance when she shot

Re: What Is Wrong With This Picture?
I gotta say bubba23, every course that I've had, from the military through multiple civy courses called a round where the bullet doesn't leave the barrel a squib load.
ETA: To the best of my knowledge what you are talking about is a blank and sometimes that is misnamed a squib.Last edited by billamj; July 11th, 2007 at 02:06 PM.
