More than trigger finger placement
Very good information for everyone to understand:

facts about those non-voluntary movements that may hurt.
If God didn't intend us to have guns why would he have given us a trigger finger?

Re: More than trigger finger placement
That was a very good read. As I have begun practicing different scenarios rather than normal range shooting, I see several new things to consider. Trigger finger placement and the medical kit seem very important.

Thanks, I learned something new today. I'll also be more conscious of my trigger finger placement.

Unfortunately that position doesn't work too well with laser grips unless you're left handed. Not saying you should only rely on the laser but it's nice when it's not blocked.

Re: More than trigger finger placement
It was a good read and something I have always practiced. When I started working on weapon retention and dynamic shooting I began really seeing the benefits of using the high index (finger all the way up on the slide). That's how I've taught my wife and others I've taught to shoot. I never thought resting your finger along the trigger guard was smart, not even rested on the frame.
Thanks for the article.

Re: More than trigger finger placement
Thanks for the read.
Makes sense, except for the inaccuracy in this sentence "On Glock handguns, the slide lock lever makes a good indicator for the Ayoob position."
What the author meant, but did not articulate, is the take-down (RH) knob rather than the slide stop lever for Glocks.
Also valid for the LH one which the photos did not show.
While the teaching is valuable, inaccuracies like this one lower the credibility of both authors and web-sites.
