Friend of mine did an interview with Doyle and got some pretty good scoop.

DOYLE: JERRY ONLY 'F**ked Up' Proposed DANZIG-MISFITS Reunion Tour, Album - Sep. 4, 2008

Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein — the former guitarist of both the old and new MISFITS, currently leader of horrorcore/metal band GORGEOUS FRANKENSTEIN — says new MISFITS singer-bassist-bandleader Jerry Only scuttled 2002 a reunion between the group and 'FITS founder Glenn Danzig.

"We were actually going to do a MISFITS reunion with Glenn," Doyle tells Cleveland Scene. "But Jerry put a fuckin' monkey wrench in it. [In] 2002. We had meetings... And [Jerry] kind of fucked it up, him and his manager. We were going to do a record, do a tour, and everything. So let all the MISFITS fans put that in their pipe and smoke it."

i've met danzig, doyle, and jerry on different occasions. doyle was a friendly guy, but danzig and jerry are both tools of the genital wart variety. jerry's got delusions of idie cred/rock stardom, and danzig's a chihuahua who thinks he's a pitbull. no wonder they get their asses kicked all over the world.

How long do they think they could keep those folks together for? Its hard to see anything like that working with Danzig, but hey it would be cool. Now if they got Black Flag from the 80's to play too I'd be there, but really that was all lightening in a bottle and will never happen again.

Oh well I'm gonna go listen to My War and maybe Frankenchrist for good measure.

They had the west memphis 3 tour, that was about as close as you'll probably get to a flag reunion. keith morris and henry singing on that tour. saw it in cleveland.

I think greg ginn did some benefit show for an animal shelter or something too.

I saw Black Flag back in '85 and the Rollins band at the original Lalapalooza. Henry is still hardcore to this day. I love his show on IFC.
