Default I fried up a turkey today (pics)

Got a Turkey fryer the other day for two reasons. one was to have the heating part to melt lead.Thinking of casting my own bullets.

And second. I have always wanted to fry a Turkey and other things.

Did not turn out to bad other then I did not have enough oil to cover the whole thing and I had to stand there and bast the top the whole time.

injected it with a butter garlic sauce. I must say it was the best I have ever had.

Dicks in Greensberg has the Turkey fryer set on clearance for $50 This is with SS POTS

Now you'll never go back to baked turkey. I fried my first turkey about 6 years ago, haven't baked one since, rain, snow or shine, I will fry my turkey. I really want to fry a wild one, guess I gotta start hunting again .

Those Fryers are good for cooking wings, shrimp and crab legs too... Oh and boiled peanuts.

I just get the water a boilin, toss the legs in there for 'bout 5 or 6 minutes and pull them out. Takes longer for the water to boil than it does for the legs to get done. Also, if you have a basket you hang on the side, you can steam 'em. Can't do as many that way though.

I don't know how you season the wings, but what we like is when you take 'em out the fryer, throw 'em in a paper bag with some "Old Bay" seasoning and shake the bag up.. Man, thems is GOOD EATIN

In a bowl I mix some wheat flour, some Durkee® Grill Creations® Chicken Rub, and some Johnny's Seasoned Salt. I roll the wings in the mix lightly and drop em into the fryer, sprinkle on a little table salt after they cool and they are pretty damn delicious.
