PGH gunsmith Colt GC
The front sight on my 70 Series Gold Cup has come loose. I need someone to stake a new one on.
Suggestions/ Referrals?

Re: PGH gunsmith Colt GC
The best way to deal with a loose or missing sight that is held on by a tenon (the stake-on type) is to get rid of it completly and replace it with a dovetail sight.
This involves cutting a dovetail slot in the front of the slide which is more expensive than just replacing the front sight. The good news is, cutting the dovetail is a one time expense and allows you to switch front sights easily.
I can replace your existing sight or do the dovetail cut, PM me if interested. I work for Lowe's Certified Guns in Sellersville.
You might want to have a look at the rear sight on that Gold Cup, the top of the sight is pinned to the base with a hollow steel roll pin at the factory. These pins have a tendency to shear after a while- I'd replace it with solid pin.
