BAN THESE NOW! DEATH MACHINES!
CIRCULAR SAWS KILL PEOPLE! BAN THEIR SALE AND POSSESSION RIGHT NOW IN ORDER TO KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE! HOME DEPOT AND LOWE'S MUST BE FORCED BY LAW TO HAVE A NEW REGISTRATION SYSTEM INVOLVING AN FTL (Federal Tool Licence) IN ORDER TO SELL OR DISTRIBUTE THESE LETHAL MACHINES. CALL PELOSI AND FEINSTEIN.
All kidding aside, this story is sad and totally disgusting.
LA HABRA, Calif. —
An Orange County man cut off his mother's head with a circular saw and then died after trying to decapitate himself, authorities said.
Police answered a 911 report of a family dispute at a Pinehurst Avenue home just after 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, entered a locked bedroom and found the body of 60-year-old Guadalupe Ruiz on a bed, police spokeswoman Cindy Knapp said.
Arthur Ruiz Jr., 32, was on another bed with the saw nearby. He had died of neck injuries, police said.
It was unclear why Ruiz attacked his mother, police said.
A child and three other adults were in the three-bedroom home when police arrived. Several families rented rooms in the home, Knapp said.
A neighbor, Paula Sanchez, said she heard the saw before going on a daily walk but thought someone was doing work in the house or yard.
"If it would have been a gunshot or something, I would have called the police," she said.
Authorities said Ruiz pleaded guilty to driving drunk in Garden Grove in 1999, was sentenced to 45 days in jail for being under the influence of drugs in Fullerton in 2000 and was given 18 days in jail for refusing to leave a home in 2004.Last edited by OneLungMcClung; May 10th, 2007 at 01:27 AM.

That is an extremely sad story. Its crazy how people can take the life of the person that gave them life. Rather interesting choice of a weapon, I must say...
Foam it up. 2x4s are scary too. Baseball bats...don't get me started!

*puts on leftist hat*
Yea but it could have been a lot worse, if he had a gun, he would have been able to shoot his mother and then himself. See how bad guns are!
Rofl, yes I did hear that from a leftist at school today while telling this story.

Re: BAN THESE NOW! DEATH MACHINES!
There was indeed a movement to ban these things (details) but the NRA†opposed it.
† National Realtors Association opposed it on the grounds it would drive up homebuilding costs, wiping out the lavish profits to which they have become accustomed.
