Re: Police instructor "horsing" around caused shooting
An instructor apparently was "horsing around" with the trainees when he pointed his service handgun at them and it went off.
The Sun reports that the trainees were peering through a window at Officer William Kern when he "playfully" reached for the gun and it fired...

And we're the ones who are irresponsible and should have to buy insurance???
An INSTRUCTOR was PLAYING with his gun...
A FREAKING INSTRUCTOR WAS PLAYING WITH HIS GUN!!!
At least he didn't make the excuse that he was trying to show the students that guns aren't toys and they shouldn't horseplay with a gunProud to be a Longwall pig...

So police instructors teach the police to playfully point weapons at people? Guess that explains allot.
I’m sure if one of us did that we would get a paid leave instead of being charged with a crime as well.
Officer Kern is on paid administrative leave pending the investigation by Maryland State Police.

Such a grand example of the professionals that are supposedly there to keep us safe and are the only ones capable to use guns responsibly and effectively.
