Re: Just Moved to Pa
Buds needs to have the FFL paperwork of the gun store you want the firearm shipped to. Let the gun store know (and make sure they are ok with this) and wait for it to show up.
When you go to pick it up, you will need a PA driver's license and you fill out two forms. It may take a bit for the PICS check to clear or you may be put into "research" because of recently moving to PA. Pay the FFL his transfer fee and you are good to go.

Welcome to the area.
Have you checked the local shops to see if they have it in stock? If so it may be a few bucks more, but you'll save on shipping.
Wallenpaupack Sport Shop has a great selection and good prices.

Re: Just Moved to Pa
Kyle, welcome to the area. There are lots of us here from NJ, including myself.
I agree that you ought to buy locally. The people who own gun stores out here are your neighbors, their kids go to our schools, they help pay our taxes, and from a practical standpoint it's always good to have a reliable local retailer you can count on.
If you need a few pointers on shops in the area, PM me and I might be able to help. In the meantime, remember how bad things are in NJ, which party has been driving the politics of that state for decades, and remember that when you go to vote.

Re: Just Moved to Pa
I am retired LEO. Moving to Pike County. What's the deal with firearms laws there. We are an OPEN CARRY and No Permit Concealed and or CCW state. Have you guys gone full commie yet? I am from Red Rock Arizona.

Re: Just Moved to Pa
We are OC in all but Philadelphia, unless you have your LTCF then you may carry open or obviously concealed. You need a LTCF to conceal or have in a vehicle. If you search the threads here you will come across all statutes that will spell it out in more detail for you.. but to answer your question.. No we are not a commie state... (Yet)
