carry
even rhough its illegal to carry concelled even with a license in Philadelphia, I do anyway - I pack in a side holster my Bersa .380 I would rather be alive telling a cop why I had to shoot the bad guy rather then lying there wishing I had.

Re: carry
A Pennsylvania LTCF (license to carry firearms) is valid throughout the commonwealth, including Philadelphia.

Re: carry
The only thing that is different in Philadelphia than anywhere else, is you cannot open carry without a license to carry firearms. Other than that like Pa. Patriot said, you can carry concealed anywhere in the commonwealth (with exception to prohibited areas) with a license to carry firearms.

Re: carry
so you live in philly or beaver? I suggest you go and get a permit ASAP if you plan to carry.
Why do people post crimes they commit online?

Re: carry
I don't think he is committing any crimes. He may think he is committing a crime, but he is not. He is just misinformed.
A LTCF allows you to carry a concealed weapon anywhere in PA (except courthouses, secure airports, schools, etc....and even some of these are debatable.)

Re: carry
Even though it is illegal to rob banks I rob the banks in my community. I tie up all the tellers except one, and then I make that one go open the safe and get all the money out. Then I tie up that teller as well. I would rather have the money to pay my mortgage than lay in bed at night wishing I had the money.
Obviously, I am being facetious. I guess I just miss the point of the thread. Why make such a statement? The statement is factually inaccurate, but more importantly, don't do something that you think is illegal, and certainly don't post it on the web for all to see.

Re: carry
I was told by two different sheriff's departments that my LTCF was no good in Phila.
First one was York Co. when I applied/rcvd my first PA LTCF second time was by the Luzerne Co. sheriff when I renewed after moving up here in 2000. I told the nice woman she was incorrect. Thus having my first "chat" with everyones favorite sheriff to which he told me flat out I didn't know what I was talking about.
ETA: He was schooled, via certified mail. When I went for my first renewal they didn't feed me the no carry in Phila lineLast edited by Pa. Patriot; December 7th, 2007 at 01:18 PM.
