It is a Danish Navy issue.
The reciever was made Dec of '43.
TE is just under 2 as is MW.

This sticker on the underside of the stock near the barrel:

    Some ammo I also got:

On the bottom of the target is where the staple was holding the target to the rack, it's not a bullet hole.

Sweet! I just love the kick of the Garand and the sound of the magazine ejecting.

Love it! Is that the one you just got from your trip to CMP the other week? If so there is hope that there are some good looking M1 Garands out there. Also what kind of ammunition crate is that in your first picture, it looks bad ass as well. When I was out there I bought 2 and I already want to make a drive back to buy more but I think I'll have to wait untill carbine days for another trip, thats a LONG drive when you've been awake all night. Keep up the good work Jay!
    Cheers

    Thank all.

Yes, I got it from the CMP saturday. They have quite a few left. Mine came out from "the back room". The old ammo crate I've had since I was a kid. I don't recall where it came from but I kept all my playing army "gear" in it as a kid. It has been in my parents basement for the last 20 or so years.

It was $425 + gas + membership to a CMP affiliated club = just under $500.
