here's something I posted on digg.com about some of the PDF forgeries going around

I talked to a manager at the KFC near here - they're trained to look at the printout to tell what a "fake" looks like.

1. The expiration box needs to have only small yellowish dot circles in it, if there are specks of red and blue - it was copied or scanned and they wont accept it.

2. They seemingly wont accept black and white print outs, has to be color.

3. There should be an image of chicken behind the text in the center, if not it wont be accepted, and when photocopied it will look odd.

The stores don't have 3D barcode readers, but I used a symbol MC9090 with a scanning application and the barcodes are all the same anyway, the number underneath is unique - Im not sure why they would do this - but eh...free food..not going to complain.

You can print up to four per PC without uninstalling their app and then cleansing it over and over again with a reg cleaner.

Real thing that works is to use a PDF printer application and boom - should work as it should be lossless in quality.

I tried it today, it's just like regular KFC but without being fried, it's still pretty greasy but doesnt taste bad or anything.

they're changing the method because of the load that's on the site - the previous method used some kind of application to print them via a stream rather than a normal printing method....sort of how a zebra printer works I guess.

But the response has been crazy and now all the codes under the barcode simply go 012345678910 or whatever.
