Those jokesters in Congress
CNSNews.com: “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?”
Pelosi: “Are you serious? Are you serious?”
CNSNews.com: “Yes, yes I am.”
Pelosi then shook her head before taking a question from another reporter. Her press spokesman, Nadeam Elshami, then told CNSNews.com that asking the speaker of the House where the Constitution authorized Congress to mandated that individual Americans buy health insurance as not a "serious question."
“You can put this on the record,” said Elshami. “That is not a serious question. That is not a serious question.”
Umm yeah that "Constitution thingy" is just something we in congress joke about when we are at dinner parties, It has no "REAL" relevance to politics in todays contextDerrion Albert was my Hero.

"...a government and its agencies are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any particular individual citizen..." -Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1 (D.C. App. 1981)The 2A does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not INFRINGE our right.

Re: Those jokesters in Congress
Recently I have heard that Mary Landreau stated that the Constitutionality of any legislation should be left to Constitutional scholars not be discussed by media and legislators.
This quote may be old, but there are more and more similar feelings being displayed by our elected officials.
Sadly, this will likely end up in the lounge since political discussions are on par with Caturday if they don't directly involve firearms.
